
Connie
Egan Joins Gateway Rehab's Board of Directors
PITTSBURGH - Gateway Rehabilitation Center, a
nationally recognized private, not-for-profit drug and alcohol treatment
organization, recently announced the addition of Connie Egan to its board of
directors.
Ms. Egan is a native Pittsburgher
who graduated from Bennington College with a bachelor's degree in theater. She
has served on the boards of the City Theater and the Fisher Fund, and as a
projects committee member of the Staunton Farms Foundation. She has also
assisted the Women's Center and Shelter as a counselor and legal advocate. Ms.
Egan has been connected to Gateway Rehab for years through family and friends.
She and her husband, James, have three daughters: Rachael, 20; Jamie 17; and
Rose, 13.
Gateway
was founded in 1972 by Dr. Abraham J. Twerski, internationally recognized
authority in the field of chemical dependency treatment, psychiatrist, frequent
lecturer, and author of more than 50 self-help related books. More than 100,000
individuals have received treatment within the Gateway system, which reaches
from Erie, PA
to Washington,
PA, and
Columbus, OH.
